| In 1898, a group called "Ten American Painters" led by Twachtman and J.A.Weir systematically introduced the priciples of French Impressionism to an American audience. Twachtman is best known for his winter snow scenes. The above, rather rare rural town composition, is signed and dated 1894. | |||||
